Shrooms, visions and dream do come true!

As many of you know me I am interested in the mystical, the natural magic that surrounds us, the sparkles that light my (our) way, and so with that I have always been interested in the shroom.

A fascinating species there are many to choose from and are used in many ways. Even the Shamans, Druids, Indians believed that the power of the shroom was great and helped contact the other world for guidance and future seeing.

Been working on my Eden sculpture shroom and its coming along well.. Well chuffed and cant wait to finish it. Been really busy these last few weeks and also working on other art projects that I cant wait to show and sell..

Had wee dreams of fairies and where they live in mushrooms, how they light up in the dark; something like I've drawn in the last few days.

One of the beautiful things about life is the colour that surrounds us everyday. My willow sculpture is three changing colour's and all naturally grown. Every rod is sourced locally here in Kincardine and neighbouring town Alloa where I work.

I'm still seeing picture clouds. Still fascinating me and getting some great inspirations. I'll upload my designs later. Having a wee tweak and they will be for sale.. If anyone is interest please get in touch. MY work represents nature and sustainability with a wee hint of Victoria.

My friend Steffie is also coming up from England next week and cant wait to take her into the Ochil Hills. Its calling to me every time I work or have social visits in Clackmannanshire. Something is drawing me to discover something new and I think it will enhance my art and imagination.

Also be doing something well awesome and I mean awesome. My love and passion ever since I went to a Clan Camper 3 years ago and fired my first target and that dream to climb on a horse and fire that arrow, my dream came true..

AGAIN AGAIN!!

HORSE ARCHERY..

WELL CHUFFED and will be getting out on the field again. The thrill of sitting on Colvin with my horse bow ready to fire.

My influences are wide and far. My man, my friends, my daughter, the hills, the country of Fife, travel, trees, my garden and me growing veg, traveling to different countries, getting on a horse and the flight of my arrows, I am the Gallobhain Warrior.. I am Victoria

Picture me a Cloud..

I've been looking up at the clouds and what I see is awesome. I see pictures of all different shapes. When working on 4th May Friday, I saw something in the clouds that only I could ever dream about.

I saw the Loch Ness monster.I couldn't believe it and here is my two pictures from that nigh.

Can you see?
What do you see? Am I right the Loch Ness monster or something like of Dino?

So now its sky gazing and wanting to capture those images.

First the beginning of last week I see an angel and now this wonderful site.
I am one lucky woman.

Filling in the PAPER WORK

Today has been a great day. WHY you may ask why certainly, pull your chair closer to the screen and I'll explain all..
Today was my meeting with Emer Kennedy and getting the paper work filled in, its started and official its all becoming clear and I'm getting excited at the whole making up learn plans and teaching or really just having fun expressing.
This is a great opportunity for me and I was in the right place at the right time.

So even though I have my disclosure, I have to register again with the Clackmannan Council. Which is fine. All all details have been filled and now just wait until that comes through and we can set a date for my class..
:)
There is a definite saying, "All good things come to those who wait".. Man I have waiting and I'm so excited.
Some of the service users have mobility problems but its not about the out come but about the enjoyment that the service user has.
I have 3 groups that I will be working with but for now I feel as I am currently working on many projects right now, as well as working part time and being a mum and my adventures when not a mum, one group is great for now. 12 week sessions, one session is 2hours. which I feel is a great amount of time for the services users.

I was organized and prepared and came in with a great business plan/proposal. Totally different from the one I had in college doing my final yr of my degree. Ach well you grow, you live, you learn.
My journey into art in the care world I have to admit I never would have battened an eye-lid but now I see something more deeper and in depth. People really just want to be able to communicate.
Look at me I write my blog showing the world my adventures and what I awesome things i come across in my practice or just in everyday life. We have radio and television, adverts, magazines. Schools and colleges Uni, Library's. The most powerful communication tool though is the Internet but the best communication tool we have and as been around for thousands of years is ART.
People with disabilities see all these too but struggle sometimes to express themselves. Art isn't just about connecting with people its about expressing ourselves and our beliefs, what we saw, and how it makes us feel. By this we (all the people) can show others and themselves whats happening in their own brain.
I am privileged to be part of there experience and cant wait to blog out activities and this will hopefully lead onto other projects with our councils.
I've always wanted to work with people. This seems to be my calling.
Strange how I fell into care work and now my art has taking me into teach art to disabled & vulnerable adults.

Hell I'm excited. My grin "cannae" stop smiling.

ANGELS WAY UP HIGH

As you all know I'm a care working during the day and a artist by moon light. This gives me definite time to think and create, but the awesome pictures I see not only in the Ochil Hills but what I saw in the sky tonight was TRULY amazing.

As I was coming out of Tullibody I saw an Angel Cloud in between the the Wallace monument and the Left side of the Ochil Hills. It was so awesome I had to stop the car. I was in AWE! You see I believe in my Angels and the Fae, and I know many out there don't but I do and today I feel inspired by what I saw. The angel had her head lowered toward the Ochils and you could see the head bowing and the wings were slightly pulled back.
I wanted to get a picture that's why I stopped but it wasn't meant to be or shared because a car came up behind and peeped but the experience nonetheless was amazing and I cant stop smiling at the little surprise. But I have something that I did take just moments before hand which was in the same view of sky
This was the sky tonight. How beautiful is this. Just beautiful. We are soooooooooooo lucky to live in a country where we have gorgeous countryside. Just ask my friend Steffie who traveled all the way up from South England to see me and my daughter, and her and Nick make some awesome music in our wonderful country of Alba.
http://www.littleminxuk.com/Little_Minx/Home.html

Aye we have complete beauty here and it definitely ain't in front of the telly but the beauty we seek only takes one minute to walk outside. Its on our back doors.

So after reading this why don't you go and take a wee minute and step outside and look at the sky. You could be looking at the stars, or the sunset or even the morning glory of the sun rising. What ever you see look up and watch what wonders you can see, and I bet you will feel uplifted by your own special garden, the SKY!

I saw my angel in the sky and I thanked my angel for showing me. Maybe you don't need to see yours but know they are up high and always there.

Art in Social Care

Where do I begin in this post.

I have to take you back 3 months ago when I was feeling that I wanted to express my art through care as this is my sustainable job bringing in the income, making a living, STAYING ALIVE basically.

I had heard through my work about a post opening with Social Work Care or Center Space in Clackmannanshire and I set about getting the right info and of course making first contact.

Met with Emer Kennedy and had a great chat. She basically described what Center Space provided and what they were looking for and I set about my business plan.
I met with the service users. These being young teens to adults with some sort of disability. Had a great chat with the service users as well as Emer and Scott who do great work and run Center Space, and of course me being me the ideas started to pour out the POSSIBILITIES of what could/would come..

I sent in my business plan and waited.
And waited.
Waited some more.

By this time I had fallen ill and was in hospital having an operation and hopping around for the next 6weeks, wasn't even working as a care worker. The only thing I did do was write, draw, grow my veg and of course finish my beautiful spare room.

Emmmm I still waited. By this point I have forgotten I have applied to Center Space to teach the services users something unique and stimulating.

During this time I had spoken with Eden Festival. You remember I had applied to Eden Fest and they asked if I still wanted to take part in the creation of Art at Eden.. So things were picking back up and getting excited about getting my art out there, selling again and being creative with my thinking..

Thursday 26th I get a phone call from Emer Kennedy confirming that the family council had agreed to my proposal and I HAVE THE JOB teaching SERVICES USERS the art of art and its wonderful gifts it can bring.

I got the JOB!.. Well chuffed and over the moon.
That's now two things that has worked out nicely and I am so excited and so ready for this part of my journey, I cant wait to take that next step.

This is my passion my dream to show others how to express and create. To work in festivals, to teach and be passionate about my love for my talent.

Put it this way when I got that phone call I jumped into the air high fiving myself and doing the Victoria dance, (yes I have one).

As McFadden & Whitehead would say " Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now...

Creativity with friends

The last few days have not been just awesome but inspiring too. Steffie and Nick aka Little Minx (UK) have been staying with us, and not only are good friends but they are recording their first album and I have the absolute privilege to be sharing their journey, creative singing and of course sharing ideas alike.

Let the Influences Bring!

Creative thinking comes from creative music and this is one of my favourite bands.
The Banana Sessions - The Prodigy Medley live on the PINK BUS..

The first time I saw these guys was at Eden Fest and what a great performance they put on. Energetic/ fun/ and they definitely love what they do.

MY CREATIVITY
Since yesterday I've been racking my brains on what to create, Eden is mystical with the magic of Galloway, so I think a wee bit of research is needed to know more about the land of the old Kingdom. Looking at the stories of old and what happened in that ancient land.

Tomorrow I will be getting my willow and having wee experiments. The ideas are flowing!

Making ART in EDEN FESTIVAL

Just got confirmation that I can make my awesome sculpture at EDEN FESTIVAL.. http://edenfestival.co.uk Its a fantastic oppertunity and cant wait to get stuck in.
My head is racing with ideas but my wonderful man has just given my a great idea and something that everyone can share in. I want to create a wishing tree or in Scotland its called a Clootie.. Interested in the placing a piece of your clothing on the tree or what about making a willow sculpture that you could hang the rags from.. Mmmmmmmmmm
Celtic Totem?
Lots of ideas and lots of drawing and finally I'M GETTING MY CHANCE TO CREATE ART IN A FESTIVAL and one of my favorite festivals too.. Plus I actually come from that area only bar 30miles away from Douglas. AWESOME!

The idea of putting up any rags or item of clothing to making a wish on the ground and thanking the good memories.. yip I like that!
